Wooden Character Mavis, a friend of Thomas the Tank Engine, is an enthusiastic young diesel engine who works at the quarry. She is full of her own ideas and doesn't take kindly to advice. She has a lot to learn about trucks but with Toby's help, she is learning to be a Really Useful Engine! She's so enthusiastic that she sometimes does more work than she needs to. Mavis worked at the quarry at the end of Thomas' Branch Line until she got transferred to the Centre Island Quarry, where she works with Bill and Ben
